It's been known for a long time that music has an extremely powerful effect on us, both emotionally and physically. Music tempo affects heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure and can be manipulated to encourage both arousal and relaxation. The right music can either rev up or relax you. It's important to listen to music that makes YOU feel good. Ignore pressure from peers trying to get you to listen to something you dislike. Though it might seem like such a little thing, music can either make or break your day (and your mood, too!!!).

Music can make the difference between isolation and interaction and has been proven to help with various mental challenges, such as depression, anger, pain, autism, stress, grief, loss, time management, motivation, growth, change, and procrastination, as well as aid in improving communication skills and health. Music has been known to relieve stress by increasing the body’s release of endorphins( aka the body’s natural painkiller and "feel good" chemicals ;-D)
